Intersex Initiative makes our trained speakers/presenters available for your classroom, grassroots group, or community event. Our presenters are not necessarily intersex themselves, but are trained to give a basic presentation about intersex issues and movement and answer most questions. Our fees are reasonable, and we offer limited number of free presentations to groups that would not otherwise be able to host them. Our Speaker's Bureau currently covers the following areas:

We train our volunteers to give basic presentations about intersex issues to small audiences, such as college classrooms and grassroots groups. You do not need to be an intersex person to be able to give good presentations about intersex (nor does one's intersex status guarantee that s/he is a good presenter), although you will need to think about how to address issues that you do not experience yourself. That is one of the many issues addressed in our speaker's training, which we plan to hold a couple of times a year. Upon completion of the training, we will sit down with you to talk about your possible participation in the Speaker's Bureau.
